|
| | Louis Betts was an American Impressionist painter born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1873. His training in art came at an early age from his father who was also a painter. He completed his first portrait at age sixteen of his violin teacher in exchange for lessons, combining two of his lifelong passions, art and music. Betts primarily painted landscapes until age 24 when he began studying portrait at the Pennsylvania Academy. | | Works Cited: | | www.huntfor.com/absoluteig/betts.htm |
