Chious, John (American, 20th Century)
John Chious was born in Chicago. He demonstrated an early interest in art, winning his first contest at age 9. He studied at the Art institute and went on to have a flourishing career as an art dealer and artist. Attracted to Southern California because of its warmth and diversity, he moved to San Diego. Here he drew inspiration from nature's forms, shapes and colors, and has achieved a faultless artistic interpretation of his environment.
John's works are seen in corporate art collections such as IBM, Xerox, Motorola, Bank of America and other major companies. Many private collectors have also purchased his works, and his art is displayed in galleries throughout the US, Canada and Europe.
