| | Abstract acrylic painter Francis Ray Hewitt was born in Vermont in 1936. His work are often geometric and abstract, frequently described as Op Art with an emphasis on line, structure, shape, texture, and bold colors. He taught at the Cleveland School of Art and the Cooper Union Art School. He has had exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. |
