| | Harry Mintz was born in Ostrowiec,
Poland in 1907. The only son of a well-to-do business man and fine furniture maker, Harry grew up around art and culture. He attended the Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw and graduated with a degree in painting. | | After immigrating to the United States, Mintz spent the majority of his professional years painting in the Chicago and Los Angeles areas. He was a professor at the Art Institute of Chicago and Washington University in St. Louis before he retired from teaching to dedicate his time exclusively to painting. | | Harry’s works are found in the permanent collection of many American and international art museums as well as numerous private collections. |
