Nolf, John Thomas(American, 1872-1955)
John Thomas Nolf, born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Smith Art Academy in Chicago. His mentors include John Henry Vanderpoel, Wellington J. Reynolds, and Walter Ufer. A painter, illustrator, and cartoonist, Nolf contributed works to the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Inter-Ocean, and Inland Printer, and exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Pennsylvania Academy, the San Francisco Museum and the National Academy.
